MORALISM AND THE BUREAUCRATIC ETHIC
1. Normal form - If only the right things were forbidden, all would be well.
2. Extreme form - If only the right people were dead, all would be well.
3. Is the world in bad shape and is it getting better or worse?
4. There is a set of interlocking ideas that cause much harm.
5. Irrationalism.
6. Cynicism. A member of a group is cynical about all motivations
but those of his own group. The non group member is generally cynical
about all motivations, but usually a few group motivations will be
salient at a given time and the target of the cynicism.
